A Real Working Whip for Real Working People.

I started making whips quite by accident...
After a couple of bad experiences on ebay with cheap leather whips, I scraped and scrounged enough money to purchase a whip from Joseph Strain of the Northern Whip Company. Joe is a true master, and this beautiful Kankaroo hide whip taught me about how a whip could (and should) perform. It was a 10 ft whip, and while I wanted to try other lenghts and handle sizes the budget just wouldn't allow it. Another draw back was the weather here in South Florida. The "sunshine" state sure does get a lot of rain, humidity was a problem as well. I followed in the footsteps of the Florida cowboys (called Florida Crackers) of the seventies, by using an all weather material for my whips.
Initially, I made a few for myself, then a few for friends, and before I knew it I couldn't make them fast enough. Then fate struck and I was layed off from my day job. I started making whips full time, and have never looked back. It is truly a labor of love. I work twice as hard for half the money, but would never change a thing.
